Everest Science Center Nepal

The Everest Science Center Nepal is the only science center in Nepal, and is in Amahibelaha, Sunsari. It was established in the year 2001 founded by Dr. Dilip Adhikari, who holds a PhD degree from a university in London in Environmental Science.

Everest Science Center Nepal (ESCN) is a charitable trust registered under the government of Nepal (regd no. 1414) in the year 2008. It was primarily estd(2001) as a private independent organisation. It is the first and only one of its kind throughout the country.

Everest Science Center Nepal houses experimental kits and exhibits mostly concentrated upon easily available materials to teach the rural population of the country. It has a picnic spot named "Shantiban" (Peace Forest). There is a boating spot around the picnic ground.

The Science Center has three different individual departments, Botany, Zoology and Agriculture.

Everest Science Center Nepal houses Nepal's first Planetarium.

It conducts different programs where mostly the students of Biratnagar get involved. It conducts a program annually known as "Bigyan Mela" (Science Fair) where over 15,000 people are said to participate.
